Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information when you visit this website, subscribe to emails, or submit coloring photos.

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Komfi Kat (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit komfikat.com, subscribe to our emails, submit coloring photos, or contact us. For privacy questions, contact care@komfikat.com.

Our website is a showcase with links to external stores. We do not run checkout or collect payment-card details here. Purchases and visits to external services are covered by those services' privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide and certain visit information described in the next section.

Email subscriptions

When you subscribe, we collect your email address, optional first name, where you subscribed, and approximate country or region associated with the request. We use this information to manage your subscription and send Komfi Kat news, including new releases and other updates you requested.

Our email provider may also record delivery, opens, and link clicks to help us manage our emails and understand how they perform.

Coloring photo submissions

The Community Gallery displays Komfi Kat coloring pages completed by visitors. If you submit photos, we collect:

  • Your submitted photos.
  • Your first name, email address, and country.
  • The Komfi Kat coloring book and coloring tools you used.
  • Your social media username, if you choose to provide one.
  • A record of your permission to publish.

We use these details to review submissions, contact you when necessary, and credit published photos. Your photos, first name, country, coloring details, and any social media credit you provide may be public. Your email address is not displayed as part of your gallery credit. Submitting a photo does not automatically subscribe you to our newsletter.

Messages and order support

If you contact us, we collect your email address, the information in your message, and any order details needed to help. Where relevant, we may also receive limited order information from the external store involved. We use this information to respond to questions and provide support.

3. Information From Website Visits

When you visit, we may collect your IP address and approximate location, browser and device information, pages visited, links clicked, referring pages, and basic performance and security information. We use this to operate and improve the website, understand which content is useful, and prevent misuse. Your approximate country may also help us show suitable store links.

We count visits and book views and maintain gallery like counts. Random browser identifiers help us avoid counting the same browser or like repeatedly. They do not contain your name or email address, but privacy laws may still treat them as personal information. Only aggregate visitor and like totals are displayed publicly; individual identifiers and detailed visit information are not.

You can remove a like by pressing the same like button again, provided your browser still has the information needed to recognize your previous choice.

We use consent for newsletter subscriptions and permission to publish submitted coloring photos. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we also rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and answering requests, and on legal obligations where they apply.

4. Cookies, Saved Choices, and Analytics

Cookies and similar browser storage can remember your preferences, wishlist, gallery activity, browsing progress, and unfinished form entries. For example, your browser may remember text you entered in a photo submission form so you do not have to start over. Selected photos are not saved this way.

Clearing saved website data may reset preferences and unfinished forms. It does not delete information you already submitted or necessarily remove likes already recorded by our website.

Website analytics

Our page of shop and social links uses analytics from Google and Microsoft to understand visits and how the page is used. These tools receive visit and device information and may use cookies. Microsoft Clarity may record interactions such as clicks and scrolling to help us identify usability issues. Its recording features are designed to mask sensitive form inputs. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

You can restrict cookies or clear saved website data in your browser settings. Some saved features may then be unavailable. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out tool.

5. How We Share Information

We use providers that help us run the website, send emails, store and review submitted photos, and protect forms from spam. Information is shared with them for those purposes. Google and Microsoft receive analytics information as described above.

Approved photos and the selected public credit details may be shared on our website, social media accounts, and email newsletters, under the permission described in our Terms & Conditions. Paid advertising requires separate consent.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse and protect rights. We do not sell your email address or submitted photos. Providers may process information outside your country and are subject to applicable privacy and data-transfer requirements.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Newsletter information is kept while you remain subscribed, with limited records retained as needed to honor an unsubscribe request. We retain support messages for handling the request and any related obligations.

Published gallery photos and their credit remain until removed. For unpublished photos, private files and contact details are scheduled for deletion 90 days after the review is closed. Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups expire.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and limit unauthorized access. No online service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

7. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

Email subscriptions

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Submitted photos and public credit

You can ask us to remove a submitted photo, update your public credit, or withdraw publication permission. We will review your request and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law. Previously delivered newsletters or copies shared by others may remain outside our control.

Personal information requests

To ask about information we hold, correct it, request deletion, or exercise the rights below, email care@komfikat.com. We may ask for enough information to verify the request.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request corrections or deletion.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of your information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Complain to the relevant data-protection authority.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

8. Children's Privacy

Our forms are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Visitors under the age of legal majority where they live should have a parent or guardian's permission before submitting information or making purchases.

9. Updates and Contact

We will update this policy when our features or information practices change. The date above shows the latest revision. You can also read our Terms & Conditions.
